Heather MacRae: Songs For My Father

Her father was, as you know, the great Hollywood baritone with the deep voice Gordon Mac Rae, whose 1950s film musicals included two Rodgers & Hammerstein classics: Oklahoma! and Carousel (the latter produced June 14 by TMTP). Shirley Jones starred in both of them.

But daughter Heather is a fine singer in her own right, and this collection in tribute of her father features selections not only from the two R&H shows but also The Desert Song, Tea for Two and The Best Things in Life Are Free. A terrific evening recorded for a live audience! — B.R.
