Hosted by radio’s beloved DEE PERRY, “Legendary Black Singers—Great Broadway Songs” celebrates the extraordinary Black artists whose voices helped shape Broadway, Hollywood, popular song and American
culture. Their recordings did more than preserve great songs. In many cases their recordings are definitive.

This powerful program featuring EVELYN WRIGHT, NICOLE SUMLIN and JOE HUNTER honors the brilliance, resilience and enduring contributions of artists whose gifts continue to move us. Through live performance, storytelling, knockout video and historical context, TMTP salutes the voices that celebrated the sound of the American musical and still sing to us today.
