Sara Zahn Sings Both Sides of Bernstein

The New Yorker magazine said of this tribute, “To call it the best musical theater in town is an understatement.” And none other than Rex Reed proclaimed: “It takes a classic singer to do justice to the classic songs of a classic composer. That’s why I can think of no one more qualified than Sara Zahn to capture and honor the musical legacy of Leonard Bernstein in his centennial year.”

This was Harbinger’s 2018 follow-up to Zahn’s previous release, Witch Craft: The Songs of Carolyn Leigh. And in Both Sides..., she does full justice to Bernstein as a giant of both the concert stage and Broadway.

Zahn is known internationally as a performer, recording artist and ASCAP songwriter, having written more than 200 songs for film and television. She has performed her solo acts in countries and venues as varied as Club Soda in Montreal, Canada, the Berkshire Theater Festival in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, and the renowned opera house, Teatro Liceu, in Barcelona, Spain.
