Sidney Myer: Live!

In Harbinger’s premiere video release, here is a live recording of the estimable Sidney Myer at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in New York. Known for his witty musical comedy, Meyer also delivers numbers that are understated and even heartbreaking.

Disarming, funny, preposterous, touching and utterly unique, Myer is one of the country’s leading cabaret performers, appearing around the world but making New York his base.

For the past 25 years, despite urging from admirers, Meyer limited his brilliance to cameos at clubs, benefits and conventions. But in this release, he sold out six shows that thrilled audiences. The result is a marvelous document of a uniquely versatile performer who embodies the spirit of musical comedy, cabaret, popular song and standup comedy.

The master showman is at the top of his game.
